A R G O P U R O

One of my “BIG JOURNEY” lists

Without any will to look a group to join in this hiking, Emma told me that Lendy and Nita would go to Argopuro, the same date with me.. So I phoned them, that simple, part of destiny…

Jogja

Seemed everything was messed up on the floor, tent, sleeping bag, mattress, logistic (for 3, me-pipi-asep) that looked so much and heavy, :D.. Rice(1.5kg), eggs(0.75kg), bread(2loaves), oranges(2.5kg), rambutan(3kg), vegetables, and much more…

Finally, the cab dropped us to Giwangan Bus Station, met the three boys from Purwokerto : Lendy, Wondo, Asep.. 1000PM Went to Surabaya by EKA Bus (IDR63000), continued with AKAS to Probolinggo (IDR14000). Arrived at 0730AM, then we were waiting…waiting… and the other group arrived at 1130AM.

Moved to the old bus station to catch the bus, I and Pipi couldn’t stand to wait the next bus on 5PM, we decided to go first with Asep, Sentot, and Qthink. (Probolinggo-Bremi:IDR13000,2hours)

Bremi

What a nice village, with milchcow farm, small shop that sold everything, and the important was the ‘warung’…

Day 01. The next day, on the morning, we started the journey… The first ‘wow’ moment was when we passed the very tall tree, maybe that’s ‘cotton’ tree, I’m not good at flora knowledge, :D…

Pintu Rimba

Took a very deep breath, :D… ngos-ngos-ngos… with the very big and tall trees, we started the ‘never ending nanjak’, into the forrest! After 2hours hiking, the rain was falling… and getting downpour.. we all got wet, and suddenly Asep said that his leg was hurt! Sharp, I knew that the walking rhythm didn’t suit for him… Afraid of anymore injury that can be happened to Asep’s legs, I decided to company Asep walking faster…

Taman Hidup

How can I describe it?
A not too big lake, all the time fogging, with the mountains on the background … Cool, quite, refreshing, white…. Spent a nite here, not too cold….

Day 02. Always beautiful morning for me on the trip, even the weather was not good… Still, the lake was always be nice to enjoy, took a very fresh air, huuuuuuuuf…

Hutan Lumut

Started from this day, I separated from Pipi, I asked Qthink to company her, so I can company Asep (or Asep company me, hehehe). Ready again to hike, we passed a mossy forrest: big, tall, green, mossy…. And what I remembered was the story about trees on Lord of The Rings’s book y JRR Tolkien…

‘Looking head they could see only tree-trunks of innumerable sizes and shapes: straight or bent, twisted, leaning, squat or slender, smooth or gnarled and branched; and all the stems were green or grey with moss and slimy, shaggy growths.’ (Lord of The Rings, Book 1:Chapter VI:The Old Forrest,p.126)

I felt that all the trees could walk, and they were looking at us all the time. Sometimes, for the moment, felt for being watched. I think I read too much about tales, :D…
Savanna on the way, but it was not nice because the slope of the track was rising.

Cemara Lima

Five? Mmmmm, oke whatever they mentioned this place, we stayed the night here… Not a very ideal place to build the tent, we had to dig the soil to get flat mattress for our tent. Still, I and Asep was sliding all the time that night.

Day 03. We had to reach Cisentor today, ok! Uphill, downhill, we met a hawthorn that could hurt you, I was hitched on all of my left hand, Nita told me to spread the soil over my hand, and it was ok, the pain was gone immediately.

Cisentor

Finally, Cisentor… took a bath on the river with Pipi… So refreshing!

Day 04. The target was ‘summit attack’, both Rengganis and Argopuro. The way to the summit was liked a wonderland, edelweiss, savanna, trees, edelweiss, savanna of the purple flower…

Puncak

The Argopuro’s peak was not beautiful, there were trees on the peak… but the Rengganis was beautiful, surrounded by brimstone, and also the inheritance of Dewi Rengganis. There was a temple, maybe it was her palace, wide and we could see many rooms (in my imagination)… On the front, it would be the park of the palace, nice…

Walking down, I was running with Asep, happy to see that Pipi got the bravery to run, so we could run together… One time, Asep asked me to scream together while we’re running, so relieving!
Packing, then we’re ready to reach Cikasur.

The rising hill was never ended, finally we got the savanna.. Asking Asep to walk slowly, because I wanted to capture all the beauty to my memory… So beautiful, liked the teletubbies’s land or hobbit’s land: Shire… many savannas on the way… suddenly CIKASUR!

Cikasur

Ya Allah, Allahuakbar, Speachless… So beautiful… I was just sitting and enjoying the God’s painting…. So wide (was the plane runaway).. So green… So amazing!
There were the airport building, the park (pink and white lily), the one big tree (that usually for car to turn)…
I wanna be here for two days, talking, talking, but the logistic was run out… (cigarettes!)… Oh no…

Day 05. At noon we’re ready to start the day, still rising hill on the first route, but then the hill was setting down…down..down… rain… rocky trek… then BADERAN at 0600PM…

Till we meet again, Cikasur…
